An Evening with Buck Catlin

Former Fullerton mayor, Buck Catlin, 93, a local treasure, shares his life journey with the community. Buck swabbed decks as a sailor in 1930s Long Beach; he attended the US Naval Academy in the ‘40s; and he was a submarine commander in Pearl Harbor during World War II. In 1982, he began a 13-year stint on the Fullerton City Council. Buck has also been actively involved in the transitions here at the Muckenthaler. Get to know this charming, thoughtful member of The Greatest Generation as he reflects on his eventful life.

Ballet Folklorico Monte Alban

Grupo Folklorico Monte Alban preserves Mexican culture through its regional folk dances and different types of music and song, including Mariachi music, huapangos with African, Spanish, and Indian influences, polkas; and danzónes with Cuban origins. This group will present this special concert in honor of Mexican Independence Day. Half of all ticket sales will go to benefit this great community youth resource.
Basic and Advanced Pottery
Having strong influences from both Japan and the western world, Willie Tabata’s class emphasizes functional pieces for day to day use. Students will have the opportunity to use both low fire clay bodies and high fire. Class size is limited. Enroll now to secure a pottery wheel.

Chameleons Mime Theatre

Keith Berger and Sharon Diskin bring their Magical Mime Theatre to Orange County families. Their shows have played at La Mama in New York City, the Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, and the Edinburgh Arts Festival in Scotland. Recently, Keith and Sharon were featured on the PBS children’s series, Jakers: The Adventures of Piggley Winks!
